The The Cemetery Hotel is about 3 kilometres west of the railway station overlooking the Cemetery. Who'd a thought it? It is the home venue fot Mark Preston's quiz team, and by all accounts serves some great beer, so use public transport
Usual start time of 1 PM and unusual end time of sometime late Sunday afternoon (Say 5 or 6 o'clock).
Entry fees
£15 on the day - Don't panic! If you pay your entry in advance there is a £5 discount. In addition there will be a £5 return for a set of 60 bespoke questions (you might not use them all, in which case save the left-overs for next time). Easiest way is via paypal to my email steve_jm_kidd@yahoo.co.uk. Send a tenner, and it's a fiver back on the day for the question set.
Spectators are £2 per head.
All monies go into the prize fund
Trains run regularly, even on Sundays and it's about 2.5 km from the end of the A627 (M). Look for The Cemetery
I'm sorry the films from Durham are not up yet. What happened was.... I bought a new Medion PC from Aldis just over a month ago, specifically to jolly along the speed of editing films. Last month was Ok, I had spent a day doing the first film from at Durham and it just curled up and died on me. No video output at all. The local shop dismounted the hard drive and it has just blanked. Damn! I still have the masters so I can start again once I have replaced the PC, but that process starts today.
I just wish I had put the completed film on t'internet straight away. Back up oftenly!
