QU12 News 10, September 3rd2007: Round Five: London, 2nd September

Another fab weekend yielded a QU12 win for a tactically sure, mentally awesome and lightning fast Peter Ediss, who destroyed two of the best quizzers in the country and kept his cool to keep the unfortunate Mike Abbott in second place. A mark of the quality of the field was that Kathy Golspie, previous Mastermind round winner, found it impossible to make any headway against the talents of the aforementioned, along with Chris Curtis and Trevor Montague

Not much point doing a report, as the movies will all be available at Films, where you will see a page with them all on. My favourite buzz was between Trevor's Tautological stream and Mike's who's letter questions. Watch 'em and you will see what I mean.

The golf, naturally, went to Steve Kidd, who won 14 of the seventeen skins on the course, and sank his single 157' play-off putt on the last green to dislocate Peter's jaw and take the outstanding cash.

The fixture list is just about complete, if you go to Dates, there is a full list of venues
